A real life look at how I’m making this work right now. (Only a glimpse really, but a few things I wanted to share)
If you’re reading this, Thank you for being here, for believing in me, supporting my crazy dreams, and being part of this journey in all the ways that you do.
What helps me more than anything is helping you become a better paddler.
Coaching paddlers like you is how I make this possible.
Comment #supcoaching and I’ll reach out.
Here we come! A mom, 2 kids, one more World Championship!

Might not look like much but this was shot 1 month ago at 3.5month postpartum. I’m not sure what’s truly recommended for a pregnant or postpartum woman because I never listened to it anyway.
I just do what my body feels good doing.
I’m most pleased with zero leakage. I’ve always struggled with that. Especially after baby # 1.
But baby 2 and all the work I put in to avoid diastasis has paid off.
Feeling proud of my body.
Strength work has tapered way down as I’ve been racing the last few weeks.
Excited what this winter in the gym could look like with where I’m at right now.
I’m hoping this post finds the women who need to see it.

I’m asking for your help with something that means a lot to me. ❤️
I’m heading to the 2026 World Championships in Sabaudia, Italy and getting there this year looks a little different.
I don’t have sponsors covering the cost of this trip this year, and with a newborn, I haven’t been able to work the way I normally would to fund it myself.
This trip is about so much more than racing.
Of course I want to compete.
Of course I’m chase another medal.
But what I really want is for the world to see that becoming a mom didn’t mean I had to stop being an athlete, chasing big dreams, or showing up for the things I love.
What I really want is to show women how truly remarkable they are.
Last year I raced at Worlds 3 months pregnant. Let’s continue the story of what being an athlete and a mom looks like. Let’s continue the story of what’s possible.
This is a story of empowerment and relatability that pro sports rarely gets to see.
And I’m inviting you to be a part of this journey in 2 ways:
Want to become a better paddler?
1. Sign up for coaching with me!!
You’ll get training, work on stroke technique, build strength and structure to become a better, faster, more efficient paddler.
You’re investing in your goals AND helping me get to worlds. A win-win!
2. Just want to support me?
You can make a contribution directly to my fundraiser. Every dollar helps me get me and my family to Italy.
Both Links are in my bio. I’ll share to stories as well for those of you on FB.
Or comment #SUPcoaching and I’ll dm you more info.
Thank you for believing in me, supporting my crazy dreams, and being part of this journey. 🩵
🇮🇹 Sabaudia, here we come.
Stoked & Grateful,
Seychelle

These last two weekends racing I’ve pulled more hard strokes than I have all year and here’s something that I’ve learned:
My legs get tired, but not sore.
My back gets sore, but not tired.
This is huge because it clearly highlights why we are so prone to over using our backs when paddling. It doesn’t have the same fatigue response as the legs do. It feels easier and it IS easier to paddle with your back!
Using the legs feels harder.
It requires more energy to use larger muscles.
But these muscles are more powerful and they are designed to take the load over prolonged periods of time.
They get tired, but not sore like the back does.
And I don’t know about you, but I’m typically happy when my glutes are sore 🍑👌🏼
and not so happy when my back gets sore. 🪦
Use of legs during paddling is so important for maintaining a healthy spine and longevity in this sport.
Want to learn more about paddling with your legs, paddling longer and stronger while maintaining a healthy spine?

Pulled off my first ever “Hat Trick” this weekend at the USA National Championships.
🥇Sprints
🥇Distance
🥇 Tech
4 month old baby girl in tow. Folks it truly takes a village. I first want to thank all the women who watched, held, and offered to help with baby Z this weekend. I may have travelled solo, but I was fully supported by this community 🤗
Thank you to my family and to @supmamakt2 for encouraging me and making sure I was able to make this trip a reality.
It’s the first trip big with baby 2. And Honestly I have been so overwhelmed with logistics and life lately, I was not planning on coming.
Thank you to @backyardescapee for use of your camper.
Thank you to @usasupofficial @narrows_challenge and @visitgigharbor_official for an amazing event!!
I’m sure there are more to thank. (This mama is beyond exhausted. And so so so happy!)
Life is wild.
Life is precious.
Life is fast
and Life is beautiful.
I am Grateful that SUP continues to be a part of it all.
Grateful to race with you ladies!

If you’re not showing up to the start line with spit up on your jersey…. Are you even living? 😝😜
(Also forget about this level of awesome if you got a full nights sleep… in the last 6 months)
😅
Great photos from an amazing event as always!

I did a LIVE talk covering some of the most common SUP stroke mistakes and how to correct them.
In case you missed it, go watch the recording now, because FB is going to delete it from my page in 7 days.⏳
Go watch it on my Facebook page before it's gone for good. 🎥
🏄‍♀️ Link in bio or comment #SUPStroke and I’ll send it to you!
Once you watch it, let me know in DMs which one of these you are doing!

@lowcountry_boil_paddle_battle This race is next level. Sprints, distance, and tech races, professional livestream, a full low country boil post race meal, live music, amazing awards, cash prizes. I say this every year >> add this one to your list folks!
Thanks to @jamrmd for all the hard work organizing and running this event.
The event sponsors @olukai, @theoutsidefoundation, and many more
And all the volunteers!
Link to watch the livestreams on youtube in my stories.
I came 2nd in the 10k distance race today.
Felt good to be racing. To remember what it feels like to race. Racing is always such a good learning experience.
Happy how well I can do at only 3.5months postpartum. Definitely not where Id like to be stamina wise. Wishing I had 3 more months until Worlds, but proud of my body and grateful for any and all that I can do right now.
Showing up and doing my best. A baby in tow and another at home. I’m feeling happy and grateful.

Day 1 @lowcountry_boil_paddle_battle presented by @olukai. First race 3.5 months postpartum. Stoked it was sprints.
I’m not exactly where I want to be for the World Championships coming up next month, but it felt good to be on a start line. To be showing up and doing my best as an athlete, a coach, and a mom of 2.
Tomorrow is the distance race and that will be the real test of where I’m at right now.
Excited to push myself.
Stoked to be here.
Grateful for all this body is able to do. (Sleep or no sleep 😝😜😵‍💫)
🙏🏼🩵💪🏼,
Seychelle
