Powerhouse paddler and SUP race training coach with a relentlessly positive attitude, Seychelle talks with Standup Journal about a recent magical trip to sail, cruise and paddle in Bora Bora.
Seychelleβs Trip of a Lifetime: Paddling Bora Bora
βFor as long as I can remember I have wanted to visit the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora. This year both the Euro Tour and the Paddle League were hosting back to back races in Tahiti, the Air Tahiti Nui Paddle Royal and the Air France Paddle Festival. I saw this as my opportunity to make the trip happen.

Captain of the ship, Seychelle, charts a course through the pristine waters for which French Polynesia is well known.
In my experience, the best way to visit an island nation is by sea. My husband and I chartered a bareboat catamaran for the 5 days in between the two SUP events and sailed to Raiatea, Tahaa, and Bora Bora. We could have easily spent five weeks touring these French Polynesian gems.

Seychelle and her husband toured the island on a private catamaran for an up close and personal water experience.
The islands themselves are breathtakingly beautiful and the islanders are the most welcoming people. We spent our days paddling, snorkeling, exploring, and relaxing on the boat. It was a magical trip, much of which felt like stepping back in time.

Hardly ever seen without that infectious grin, Seychelleβs delight is palpable in a marine environment as spectacular as Bora Bora in between SUP events. Way to train, Seychelle!
I highly suggest adding Tahiti and her islands to your bucket list of paddling destinations. It is a dream paddling environment.β
