No amount of achieving or success will make you fe

No amount of achieving or success will make you feel whole, worthy, or complete. I’ll be the first to admit, I LOVE achieving things. I get off on feeling successful. Who doesn’t? But that feeling is just a temporary fix.
It leaves you wanting more.
What’s next? Is always the question. It’s a never ending cycle of striving to feel like you are/have/done enough. Until you stop the hustle and slow down enough realize that what you are searching for (or running from) is with you the whole entire time. We are all a work in progress.
That is all we will ever be.
A work in progress is enough.
A work in progress Is perfection. Repeat that 👆🏻 The moments in my life that have taught me to love myself just as I am have all been when my dreams seemingly came crashing down. When the goals I was working so hard to achieve were taken from me, were no longer an option and it was out of my control. (It always is) Those are the times that deepened my knowing that
I am enough And that fact has nothing to do with accomplishing the next “thing.” And the beautiful part about feeling whole, you can still go after your dreams.
It’s not as if the world stops spinning or you stop dreaming when you realize you don’t actually need all the things, you just want them,
And then it becomes fun,
And you no longer fear failure
Because failure doesn’t exists
And the struggle stops
And life feels so much easier. So how does one start feeling like they are enough? Self Love work.
Accepting yourself as you are
All of you
Especially the parts of you and your story that you are ashamed of. Slowing down enough to learn what about you and your story you are using your “success” to hide behind. Living as your true self.
Being authentic, honest, vulnerable, feeling pain, and asking for help. You are enough. You want to feel praised, adored and loved?
Praise, adore, and love yourself.
Until you do this, no amount of external praise, adoration, or love will ever be enough. That being said,

What do YOU want? Whether you approach things from a masculine, get shit done, go after it energy,
Or from a feminine, slow down, let it come to you, attract your desires, (This is a new one for me. Working on it and loving the process so far) One common theme rings true, We have the power to create! Step 1: What do you want, truly want for yourself?
Not what you think you should do or have or what someone else or what society wants for you or thinks you should I do. Not what would make people proud or think highly of you. Not from any external source of worth or validation than your own and what makes YOU happy. One deep issue I see often with my clients is the superficial desire to do, be, achieve something because it’s what some external influence (person, parent, society) wanted for them or what they think will make them feel happy, worthy, successful, etc,
But is not in alignment with what they truly want.
Enter in : self sabotage : “Why can’t I do this?” “Why is this so hard?” “Why do I always fail?” Because deep down, your goal Or your method of trying to achieve it is not true to you. Uncovering our true desires can be the hardest part, reprogramming a lifetime of “shoulds” and “supppsed tos” Step 2 : Stop. Turn around. Go back. Retrace steps. Learn from your mistakes. Stop doing what’s not working for you.
Yup, step two is the opposite of forward progress. Super frustrating. And super necessary. Okay enough of my rant for today.

One way that I’m growing in my journey right now

One way that I’m growing in my journey right now is to heal my relationship with the feminine.
Our feminine is our inner, intuitive, creative, side, our softer, slower, flowing energy. The feminine cultivates by “being”
While the masculine cultivates by “doing” I’m an athlete, a business owner, an over achiever, a chronic “Do-er.”
Masculine energy has mostly dominated well, most of my life. My body is asking me to soften in a big way right now.
And I’m listening
(Because we have no choice but to listen to our bodies, because when we don’t, life gets awfully painful awfully quick.)
And I’m scared.
Because I realize how much I identify with masculine traits and a self image of being “hard.”
And that has worked for me.
AND still I feel the calling to find balance. We need both. The Yin and the Yang.
There is a time and place for both.
But,
I’ve ignored my feminine side for far too long. Now I am giving her the attention and the permission to thrive that she so desperately needed.
And I’m scared
That she will destroy everything I’ve worked so hard to build. (Ha!) And the truth is, she will only ADD balance to the foundation of strength I have built. And if all of this sounds too “woo woo” for you,
The truth is, I’ve always been super in to the “woo.” I just hid it from the world in fear of judgement and criticism. Well She ain’t hiding any longer.
This is me. Even more of me.

Don’t be afraid to slow down.
Don’t be afraid to turn around, go back and retrace your steps.
Cherish your mistakes.
Courageously stand still. Movement and progress are not linear.
And neither are you. To get where you are going takes forward, backward, circles, and squiggly lines. Letting it come to you, takes standing still. I hate being told to slow down, stay still. And yet the slower I move, the more I am able see.

I’ve quoted him before but it’s come up again in recent conversations and is always worth a share: “Then a woman said, Speak to us of Joy and Sorrow.
And he answered:
Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven?
And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.

Pain and suffering are separate. I like to feel

Pain and suffering are separate. I like to feel all the feels.
That doesn’t mean I suffer. Acceptance of what is and how it feels.
Feel it deeply in order to process. Then move through it, learn something, find gratitude, and move on. It’s when we refuse to accept something,
when we feel a victim of something,
or refuse to feel it at all,
that we get stuck.
and our wounds don’t heal. Acceptance doesn’t mean giving up.
It means separating pain and suffering.
It means trusting in your process. The overwhelming feeling of my last few days:

You guys what a roller coaster. I found out that

You guys what a roller coaster.
I found out that I was pregnant again
and that I had lost it already
within the span of three days.
Will and I are doing okay. Better than we were the last few weeks actually.
Now all the stress, confusion, and the tension I’ve been feeling makes sense.
It wasn’t nearly as hard as last time having only just found out.
It sucks,
but I know it wasn’t meant to be.
We’ve been trying to get pregnant again and I was feeling so shut off from and so much distrust in my body and the process.
When I found out I was pregnant this time, I didn’t feel happy or excited. Now I know why.
What my intuition has been trying to tell me all month long. It’s not time just yet. Be patient. Your body is still healing. And I wasn’t listening, because I didn’t like what I was hearing. How often do we do that??? And how many times until we learn?? I feel relieved actually.
Reassured that I am still in tune with my body.
I just need to be honest with myself. The time will come. When my body is healed (from years of chronic stress, hormone imbalance, a copper IUD) and ready. I’m sharing my story so openly because my story is not unique. So many women and families go through this, their own fertility story, their own challenge and struggles.
It’s just not talked much about because it’s sucks. A reminder once again that you are never alone. No matter what you are growing through. I say this phrase a lot with my coaching clients:
We get to decide our What and our Why. We don’t get to control our When and our How.
It’s so hard to accept, but all challenges are a part of the process on your journey towards what you truly desire. Looking forward to a rainbow baby one day.
For now I’m still dancing in the rain.

Some lessons from my love story for those who migh

Some lessons from my love story for those who might need to hear. 1. When I met my husband neither of us were looking for a relationship. We were both fully invested in working on ourselves at the time. Committed to getting fit, eating healthy, and being awesome. Lesson: working on yourself and not needing a partner or the thought/desire of a partner to motivate you to do so is sexy as f*ck! Do it for You! #Selflovefirst. 2. Neither one of us thought the other one was “our type.” Sexy? Yes!
A good lover? Totally!
Marriage material? Hell no! Obviously both of us were wrong. 6 years later and we have the most amazing, loving, supportive, and fun relationship. Lesson: I think we often have this Idea of our “ideal partner.” What they will look like, act like, what they will be in to, what interests we will share.
I think we can severely limit ourselves in trying to find "the one.”
If I had entered our relationship with the thought of “Is he long-term material?” The answer would have been a hard “No,” and I would have missed out on so much earth-shattering Love. Instead I entered in with “Well this is fun! I can ✌🏻out whenever it’s not.”
And I still find it fun every single day! If you always seem to find yourself in the same relationships patterns/ making the same mistakes, Maybe your idea of your “ideal partner” is way off and you should just throw that check list out the fucking window and give someone totally different a chance?? The universe will put the right people in front of us at the right time, but it cannot make us to actually see them or give them a chance. Perhaps it’s time for a broader lens. 3. We met through our “tribe” at CrossFit key largo.
Did I think I was a CrossFit girl? No.
I joined so I could teach yoga classes there.
Did something tell me to give it a shot? Yes. Did I end up loving it? Yes!
Did I get find a community and the love of my life? Yes and Yes! Lesson: We are social animals and we need a tribe, a supportive community to truly thrive to our fullest potential.

Somehow most of us have gotten this mixed up along the way.
So often we live our lives seeking out love from others, hoping to fill a void that’s left from forgetting to first love ourselves. Happy February friends! Love is in the air and I have a few posts to share in the coming days/weeks about my own love stories in hopes of helping others to find the love they so truly desire. My first piece of advice is this: Love yourself first. Self love IS the love we are searching for. Self love is a requirement for having the capacity to love others. Self love is a requirement for having the capacity to let others love us. IMO There is nothing sexier than a mate/partner who is happily working on themselves and doesn’t require yours or anyone else’s approval to feel awesome. Surprise surprise, as a result, Will and I met at the gym. (That story coming soon) My Self-Love routine includes, but is not limited to:
Making the time for daily training/working out/ exercise.
Choosing whole, organic, nourishing foods, and preparing healthy, home cooked meals.
Getting enough sleep.
Meditation
Affirmations
Positive self talk
Getting body work done regularly.
Slowing down, taking time to relax everyday.
Reading books
Taking baths
Believing in myself
Having the courage to follow my dreams. 🥰🥰🥰

# 1 Your health and the health of the environment are 1000% worth it! There are SO many reasons to choose whole, organic foods. 🌱 Reduce exposure to toxic chemicals ☠️ like
pesticides,
fertilizers,
drugs,
hormones,
antibiotics
🌱say no to GMOs
🌱Get more nutrients from your food like vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and fatty acids.
🌱Enjoy better tasting food!
🌱 Help out the Environment with better farming practices.
🌱An opportunity to feel:
More energy 💥
Better digestion🤢
Stronger immune system 🤒
More mental clarity
Better performance 🥵
Less brain fog 🤯
Better gut health
Better poops 💩
Healthier hormones

You don’t have to overhaul your whole diet overnight! 😳
Start by buying just one item organic at a time. Increase by one more when you feel ready. Take as many months or years as you need till most of your food is organic.
You can go so slow you don’t even notice the increase in your food budget.

A hard-thinking invitation: There a multiple sides to every story “Facts” change What is “Truth” is different for different people The problem is not each other or people who speak their truth. Just because you don’t agree with someone, doesn’t make them wrong. They may truly believe what they say. And just because someone believes something “alternative” also doesn’t make them wrong. (or right) I preach alternatives ways of thinking/living all the time. Alternatives medicine and alternatives to conventionally grown foods. (The list goes on.) To me many of these “theories” feel better than what we are taught to believe is the truth.
Why, because
I am open minded enough and willing
to listen to all sides,
to do my own research,
to have intelligent conversations,
to ask questions,
to use multiple sources of information,
to make my own decisions,
be able to explain why,
to admit what I don’t know and
to continually be seeking. even when I am afraid, when the answers are painful, or just don’t come. If we all spoke more honestly, listened more intently, and kept an open mind, the world would be a better place,
regardless of the message spoken. People don’t change unless they want to.
Confrontation and fighting never leads to someone wanting to believe anything you say. If you want change, you must listen to and accept all sides with tolerance and compassion for different truths. It is only together, our combined wisdom, that will get us through this, better for it on the other side. I’m inviting you to do some deep listening to something you don’t want to hear. I find the more I think, the less I realize I know. requiring me to only speak what I truly believe. I believe the universe is in perfect balance at all times.
That without darkness there would be no light.
That without differences there would be no information
That without struggle there would be no growth.
That as fucked up as it seems, when you zoom far enough out, everything is exactly as it’s meant to be. Sending love and peace to all,

Wow! 😍🏔🏖🌲☀️✨🤩 what a way to end my trip to Lake Tahoe! I finally get to paddle on this breathtaking lake. Story Time: My very first time visiting Lake Tahoe was 15 years ago. I was a teenager. It was summer time. I saw some paddle boards for rent and thought “that looks so awesome! I want to try paddle boarding!”
The lady wouldn’t rent them to me. She said the lake was too rough and cold and I would fall in and if I wanted to paddle, I could take a kayak instead. 😤
I didn’t want to kayak. I wanted to SUP and so I left disappointed. (Little did either of us know what my future many years later would have in store...💪🏻🏅🏄‍♀️🏆) A glorious January day fueled by this memory of the past set me up for a most magical paddle adventure. Thank you to @malissalovesup for setting me up with a board and paddle to borrow! I am SUPER STOKED to announce that I will once again be a part of the @sicmaui ohana and global team for 2021!!! This is year # 5 riding for SIC and I couldn’t be more proud. With all major events cancelled in 2020, it was a nerve wracking year to be a professional athlete.
I think it was even more nerve wracking for the brands that work so hard to support this industry, our sport, and its athletes.
SIC stood by me.
And even with everything going on for me personally and my current quest for parenthood, they’ve offered to stick by me again, proving that it truly is about #ohana! (which means family in Hawaiian) I love my SIC Maui ohana!

Starting off the new year feels so good.
I did a lot of reflecting last week, as you do at the end of the year, and I had a huge breakthrough I want to share with you.
A mindset shift I’ve been working on for years that 2020 helped blossom in to reality. The fastest way to reach your goals is to slow the ef down. From the quote “Slowing down is the fastest way to speed up.”
The best way to approach just about anything is to slow down. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed “rushing” into all the things I want to do this year.
I accomplished so much last year, (and the year before that and the year before that) and I will accomplish incredible things this year too However this January, rather than rush into what’s next, I’m focusing on where I am right now. And celebrating my successes from 2020 and feeling really present and proud of that. A mindset of I Have done it!
not I’m Going to do it. Not what’s next, but what’s right now! It’a an awesome place to be. As a result I’ve decided to postpone my group coaching program until March.
I do feel that this is the next step in growing my coaching business, and January is a great time to launch programs, but I don’t want to rush in to it. I want to enjoy my success of 2020, nurture my current client relationships, and celebrate. I just posted on my story talking about this if you’d rather listen than read. I’ll also continue to share a few other women’s coaches programs that ARE launching this month. I have a dream That one day people will learn to love themselves
That we will live as our true selves
Speak honestly from our hearts
Believe in our own power
Seek wholeness from within
Know that we are enough
Feel worthy of our wildest dreams
And every time we look int the mirror we will stop and say the words,
“Gorgeous human, I truly love and appreciate you.” A girl can dream. This level of love is possible and wonderful.
I know it because can I feel it
and if I could put my mission in to words right now it would be that every human on the planter could feel it too. It can start with a simple habit.
I’ll offer you my favorite one.
Every time you look in the mirror repeat the words, “I love and appreciate you.” Whether you believe it or not.
Whether it hurts or it makes you cry.
Even more so, take a deep breath and repeat.
Do this for as many days, weeks, months or years as it takes. Sending you so much love for a beautiful New Year! Love,
